“ why can’t you see me?” Whispered Yukimura to no one but the wind.  “I’m right in front of you.”

“Oi, buchou talking to the wind again?” Asked Yagyuu.

“Don’t space out on us.” Said Sanada, in a worried way.

“Ah, I’m sorry.  What were you saying?” Asked Yukimura.  Sanada and Yagyuu sighed.  They were talking about the upcoming event that the one and only Atobe was putting together for the old tennis teams.  The whole old Rikkai Dai team was in high school now and still played tennis together. In high school you are really supposed to focus on your schoolwork and really nothing else.

“He’s still thinking about -senpai isn’t he?” Asked Kirihara to Nioh in a whispered tone.

“Probably. I mean ever since she had to transfer to Seigaku, Yukimura-buchou has been muttering to himself all the time.” Said Nioh.

“And since Inui told Yanagi that she’s been spending more time with Tezuka too.” Reminded Marui, popping a piece of bubblegum in his mouth almost thoughtfully.

“Buchou needs some serious help.”

“You’re not kidding.”  Thus, Nioh found himself at Seigaku High’s door.  He lost in drawing straws to go talk to .  As if on cue, just walked out of the gates.

“Nioh?”

“Long time no see .  I’m glad you haven’t forgotten me.” Said Nioh. “You got some time to talk?”

“Sure.” Said .  So they went to the park and sat on a bench.  “Now what’s wrong, because I know this is not just a trip for pleasant conversation.”

“You are right.” Said Nioh.  “Tell me why you are dating Tezuka when you promised Yukimura that you would come back to be with him.”

“Does the whole team know about that?” Asked .

“Yes, now answer.” Said Nioh, not in a joking mood.

“I’m not dating Tezuka.” Smiled . “Two things... One, he is tutoring me in math and secondly Fuji would kill me if I attempted to go after Tezuka.”

“Okay then.” Said Nioh, believing her.  She never had a reason to lie and he did not expect her to start now.  “You need to see Yukimura again… He’s miserable without you, even though he is trying to hide it from us.”

“Okay when?” Asked . Nioh smirked and told her what to do.

A few weeks later at the Atobe party thing, the Rikkai Dai team was greeted by the old Hyoutei team members.  The party was grand.  I mean, after all it’s Atobe we are talking about here.  So Yukimura was occupied by Nioh (who was waiting for to show up with the Seigaku team, who so happened to be late).  A little bit later, they arrived.  Yukimura was sitting with Sanada by then and was suddenly hugged by a girl.

He knew that girl’s hug well by now.

“?”

“How are you doing Seiichi? Nioh tells me you are depressed… You better not make yourself sick.” Said , teasingly.

“What are you doing here?” He asked, stunned.

“I came with Tezuka and the others.” Said , nonchalantly.

“I see, I hope your trip was safe.” Said Yukimura, with one of those smiles that only she could tell that he was indeed upset.

“I don’t know what Inui told Yanagi, but you know I’m not dating Tezuka,” said , whispering slightly.  “He’s just my tutor in math; you know I’m bad at that subject.”  She grinned at him.  Yukimura suddenly felt like an idiot.  Of course she would not go off to a different school and date one of his biggest rivals.

“In fact,” said the voice of the tensai of Seigaku, Fuji, “Tezuka treats her like the sister he never had.  She gives him quite the headache sometimes.”  He was smiling.

“Who invited you to interrupt a private conversation Fuji?” Asked both and Tezuka, who walked over to make sure that Fuji was not interrupting anything.

“Saa, its looks like I’m the one in trouble now.” Said Fuji, bowing almost in a mocking way, but not really. He dragged Tezuka away to go monitor Eiji and his sugar intake along with Oishi.

“It seems I was worried for nothing.” Said Yukimura.

“Yeah, and don’t you forget it.” Said . “I’m coming back right after high school.  Remember you are going to marry me when we turn 21.”

“Ah I know.” Said Yukimura.  She just kissed him on the cheek but then whispered in his ear something that made him smile.

“Although, your team may have to let me make room in my heart for the Seigaku team; they’re growing on me.”

“You are such a silly one.” Said Yukimura kissing her. “Now tell me; do I have to deal with brother Tezuka now?”

“Nah. If he knows what’s good for him, he won’t do anything.” Grinned .

“You are evil.”

“Nah, just me.”

“That’s why I love you so.”

“I know you do and ‘cause I love you too.”
