Always and Forever
Chapter 02
“Eiji is taking this better than expected,” said Kikumaru-papa, laughing. Eiji was gaping like a fish and pale as a ghost. Eiji just came to find out that the girl that he was marrying is going to be staying with him and his family for one month. Not only that but the girl already goes to his school and he did not ever notice her. He was in shock, obviously. It did not help that was staring him down.
“Well, not that I’m impatient or anything,” said , still staring intently on Eiji. He was getting nervous by that too. “I would like to get settled sometime this century.”
“Of course dear,” said Kikumaru-mama. “Eiji, help -chan bring her stuff to the guest room.”
“Okay,” replied Eiji. The rest of the team was invited into the kitchen to have a snack along with everyone else but Eiji and . Eiji grabbed three bags, while got the rest. There was a short the distance to the guest room and an uncomfortable silence in the air between the two seventeen year olds. Eiji then remembered something from before.
“What did you want to talk about with me,” asked Eiji.
“Oh, nothing too important really just that I expect you to walk me to and from school everyday, don’t bother me Tuesday nights, and uh crap what was the other one my mother told me to say,” grumbled .
“Huh,” asked Eiji.
“I really don’t want to do this as I’m sure you don’t either,” said . “My mother said that I should try at least to get to know you better and be nice. The walking to and from school thing was her idea not mine.” She looked a bit frustrated with a pout on her face, thinking.
“Nya, you’re cute,” said Eiji, suddenly.
“Not really,” said , shrugging. They got to the guest room and put her bags down. “I’m hungry.”
“My thoughts exactly,” said Eiji, laughing. Maybe this won’t be so bad after all. A few hours later Eiji’s teammates left and so did his siblings. was the last to leave because he stayed to help clean. said goodbye to her big brother and Eiji was told to see him outside.
“Hey, Kikumaru,” said , getting into his car. “Take care of my sister. She may act tough but she’s a good person albeit a crazy one.”
“Sure thing,” said Eiji. drove away. Eiji wondered what would happen during these few weeks. The following morning, no one was awake in the Kikumaru household except . She got up at 4:30am to get ready for school. After taking a shower, getting dressed in the school uniform and combing her hair, went into Eiji’s room. She sat at the end of his bed and stared at him. This boy has always been the energetic Kikumaru Eiji, one half of the Golden Pair of Seigaku and the object of many girls’ affections. wondered how his fangirls will react. She sat there thinking until 6am when Eiji’s alarm went off. Said boy popped up, messy hair and a big yawn as he turned off the alarm and he did not notice the girl sitting at the end of his bed.
“Good morning,” said , wondering if she should take some pictures and sell them to his fangirls.
“Oh good morning -chan,” said Eiji. He got up and walked out of the room. sat there. He’s slow in the head in the morning, concluded. Two minutes later, Eiji came barreling back in the room, now freaking out. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?”
“I was waiting for you to wake up,” said , blankly.
“Why,” asked Eiji. “You could have eaten breakfast already.”
“I don’t eat breakfast at 4:30 in morning,” said .
“Are you mental,” asked Eiji, serious.
“Hmm, that’s what my psychologist says,” said , happily. Following that little interaction was a quiet breakfast and then the walk to school. Eiji was actually dragged to school in time for tennis practice.
“She’s already whipped you,” said Momo, snickering.
“Oh like Ann doesn’t have you whipped,” said Fuji, innocently.
“Everyone calm down and take 10 laps,” said Tezuka. “Let’s move people!” Thus the slow day began and unfortunately a certain tensai told the president of Eiji’s fan club about Eiji and ’s engagement and living situation. And let’s just say the girls did not take the news too well. So at lunchtime a small posse of crazed fangirls of one Kikumaru Eiji stormed into Tezuka and ’s classroom. was the only one in there, unfortunately for the black haired girl, and was minding her own business eating lunch that Kikumaru-mama made for her.
“, we need to talk,” said the fan club president.
“Okay, Tomoe what do you need,” asked .
“How the hell did Eiji-kun pick you for his wife,” asked Tomoe, quite rudely.
“Hmm, let me explain this in a way you brainless fools will understand,” said , mockingly. “It was arranged between our parents, not my choice or his choice. Frankly if he wanted to be with someone else I will not care but unless our parents tell us otherwise we’re getting married.”
“How dare you talk to Tomoe-san like that,” snapped some of the other members.
“I do what I please so get out of my face,” said . The fangirls left the room, but not before sending a death glare at grinning. “Fangirls, they amuse me so.”
“Man, you shouldn’t piss them off ,” said a voice. turned to find her best friend Hunter standing on the window sill. Hunter had black hair and blue eyes. She wore the Seigaku uniform too. However, she is known as the Scary Lady. “Fangirls like them will go out of there way for revenge. The only decent fangirl I met in a while is Osakada Tomoka, president of Echizen Ryoma’s club.”
“There you are Thorn,” yelled her homeroom teacher entering the classroom. Hunter grinned at escaped out the door while the teacher tripped on a desk. “GET BACK HERE!” Suddenly after the teacher left, the whole Seigaku tennis team senior members were in the room.
“-chan are you alright someone said a whole bunch of my fans were in here,” said Eiji.
“I’m fine,” said . “I got rid of them for now. So Fuji, would you mind telling me why you told them about the arrangement between Kikumaru-kun and I?”
“Am I that obvious,” asked Fuji, smiling.
“Fujiko-chan that’s not cool,” whined Eiji. “You know how fangirls can get sometimes.” Fuji just smiled wider. Eiji grimaced; he knew that smile all too well Fuji had a plan and Eiji just knew that somehow it involved him and probably too.
