Always and Forever
Chapter 3

“Remind me again why we’re doing this,” asked Momo to Eiji and Fuji. The three of them on Tuesday night wanted to know what was up to since she was so secretive about Tuesday nights. Of course they were following her as discreetly as possible but since this is Momo and Eiji we are talking about here, discreet isn’t in their vocabulary. , actually, did not notice three following her. Seriously someone needs to talk about the Seigaku Tennis Team and stalking people?anyway that’s off topic.

“Because I want to know what she is doing,” said Eiji.

“I’m bored,” said Fuji, simply.

“Senpai, you are crazy,” said Momo, shaking his head. He could be at home sleeping or on a date with his girlfriend but no he had to let his senpai drag him out to spy on . entered a normal looking house and the boys snuck over to peak in the window nonchalantly. “Hey there’s Scary Lady, Thorn-senpai and ultra-shy with a giant crush on Fuji-senpai, Hall-senpai.” Hunter was lounging on the couch, tuning an acoustic guitar. Hall Sapphire is in the same class as Hunter and as Momo stated very shy and she was polishing a violin. There was a piano in the corner and sat on the seat.

“They’re in a band together,” said Fuji, smiling. “This should be interesting. I didn’t know any of them played instruments.”

“UH, I’m not sticking around here. Imagine what Thorn-senpai will do to us if she finds that we were spying on her,” said Momo, sweating a lot.

“Yes, you can go Momo,” said Fuji. Eiji wanted to bolt to but his curiosity got the best of him. Music resonated from the room with an elegant mixture of the classical violin, the hard guitar and the calm piano. All three girls were peaceful looking as they played their respective instrument. Eiji and Fuji were both stunned and just listened and watched. Until, of course, they were caught.

“What are you two doing out here,” asked Hunter, window open and she did not look very happy. Sapphire seemed to have disappeared and looked like she wanted to bang someone’s head against a brick wall. Luckily for Eiji, Fuji was not scared of anyone.

“You see Eiji and I were curious to what was so secretive about and I must say you all are superb performers,” said Fuji. Hunter stared at him.

“Whatever, you wanna come in and watch,” said Hunter. “SAPPHIRE GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN FUJI-TENSAI DOES NOT BITE!”

“NO YOU CAN’T MAKE ME,” yelled Sapphire, which is the loudest Fuji and Eiji ever heard Sapphire get. Hunter grumbled and went into the kitchen where Sapphire was hiding from apparently Fuji.

“Kikumaru-kun, next time just ask if you what to know what I’m doing,” said , blankly.

“Aw, I’m sorry -chan, but Fujiko-chan made me,” whined Eiji.

“Yeah, I can believe that,” said , nodding. “Don’t bring Fuji, Sapphire can’t function with him around and we need her to play violin without distraction.” Eiji laughed. Meanwhile Hunter was dragging Sapphire out of the kitchen by her hair.

“Ow, Ow HUNTER,” yelled Sapphire. “Stop pulling my hair!”

“Stop being a baby,” said Hunter, annoyed.

“Good evening Hall-chan,” said Fuji. Sapphire then proceeded to run back into the kitchen.

“Okay, practice is over,” said Hunter. “, get these two gone and I’m going to call Sapphire’s mother to come and get her.” nodded and pushed the boys out of the house. Apparently the house is Hunter’s and she just kicked them all of out of her house. Fuji went off on his own and left Eiji and to go home together, of course, not before smiling at Eiji disturbing him greatly.

All was silent. Eiji actually thought that was weird since every morning she sits on his bed and watches him sleep until he wakes up. Unfortunately Eiji is starting not to mind. , on the other hand, still thought this arranged marriage idea was stupid. was not uncomfortable around Eiji but she did not want to deal with a boy who had hordes of girls chasing after his affections.

“So you’re a musician,” said Eiji.

“Well, yeah,” said , as if it was the most obvious thing in world. “Just like you are a tennis player.”

“How long have you, Hall-san and Thorn-san been in a band,” asked Eiji.

“Beginning of middle school,” said . “We are still working on some more songs. Most of our stuff is all instrumental but we do have one song with words.”

“You sound great to me,” said Eiji. “Oh yeah, this weekend is the high school Kanto Tournament?”

“Yea, I’ll come and bring Hunter and Sapphire too,” said . “Oh and what kind of things does your mother like? I want to get her something for making me meals everyday.”

“I’ll help you find something, we’ll make a shopping trip out of it,” said Eiji, getting excited. “Well, go after the tournament.” Saturday shall be interesting, because technically this is an unofficial date.

After the tennis matches in which Seigaku won, Eiji and headed to the mall. Of course it was the weekend so the place was packed with people. Eiji dragged around by the hand to find the gift for his mother. After avoiding hordes of people, Eiji and stopped for a break. Eiji was still holding tightly on Faith’s hand.

“Wow, I didn’t think that the mall be this jammed,” said .

“Heh, you don’t like crowds that much,” said Eiji. “But don’t worry we’re gonna find that gift.” They got up and started to walk again when they heard a commotion at one of the stands.

“WHY ARE YOU SO CRAZY, WOMAN,” yelled Akutsu Jin, of Yamabuki.

“WHY ARE YOU SUCH AN ASS,” snapped back Hunter. Eiji and sweatdropped; Jin and Hunter had been dating a few months after Yamabuki had a fire concerning one Sengoku and a cooking class and Yamabuki stayed in Seigaku for a week. Jin and Hunter liked each other but they showed they cared in a very weird way by verbally abusing each other.

“Keep walking,” asked .

“Yes, please,” said Eiji. Both were highly disturbed and did not want to know what that argument was about, so they headed off. Suddenly Sapphire bumped into them literally.

“Ah, sorry,” said Sapphire, running in place. “Gotta go!” She was off.

“Wow, that’s the fastest I ever seen her run,” said .

“WAIT SAPPHIRE-CHAN,” yelled Sengoku of Yamabuki, chasing after Sapphire.

“Oh that’s why,” said , blankly.

“Sengoku doesn’t give up, I hope she knows that,” said Eiji.

“He’s been chasing after her since well Jin and Hunter started going out,” said , amused. “Come on I wanna get the gift and get out of here! The crowds are getting bigger.” Eiji nodded and they walked hand-n-hand to a cute little trinket store.

“Oh, doesn’t she love animals,” said , picking up a wooden eagle statue.

“Wow, that’s a good choice, -chan,” said Eiji, “let’s get that for her!” He was all excited as paid for the wooden bird. picked up the bag but he quietly took it from her.

“I can carry it you know,” said .

“But a boy shouldn’t let a lady carry bags,” said Eiji.

“My, Kikumaru-kun you are indeed a knight-in-shining-armor,” teased . Eiji pouted. “You’re too cute.”

“Hehe,” said Eiji. They were almost out of the mall, but unfortunately nothing can ever go well for the Seigaku tennis players.

“Oi, ,” said someone; turned and got hit in the face with chocolate ice cream. wiped it off and threw the ice cream in the garbage can.

-chan, are you alright,” asked Eiji, concerned.

“It’s nothing, just ice cream,” said .

“Look at the chicken can’t defend herself,” mocked the president of Kikumaru’s fan club, Tomoe. and Eiji ignored them and began walking away. Tomoe was not one to be ignored and threw a punch at the back of ’s head. The black haired pianist moved her head and turned around.

“Back off,” growled .

-chan,” said Eiji, trying to get her not to fight the president. “Let’s go.”

“No I think I’m gonna stay Kikumaru-kun,” said . “If you have something to say Tomoe-san, say it!”

“WHY YOU AND NOT ME? YOU’RE JUST A REJECT LIKE THORN AND HALL!”

“A reject, that’s a new one. I don’t think I mind being a reject,” said . Tomoe took another swing at . blocked it with one arm and punched the girl in the face. “Try it again Princess.”

, stop,” yelled Sapphire, running up to stop her best friend. Hunter, Jin and Sengoku showed up too.

“She attacked me first,” said , shrugging.

“No, not that,” said Sapphire. She pointed at Eiji, who was glaring at .

“Scram,” said Jin, to any bystanders and the fan club of Eiji. They ran as fast as lightening. “Come on, woman, things are going to get problematic.” Jin and Hunter left. Sapphire grabbed Sengoku and dragged him away.

“What are you glaring at Kikumaru,” asked , still angry from before.

“You did not have to hit her,” said Eiji, sternly.

“She attacked first, when a fist comes at my face I punch back. It’s a reflex,” said , blankly.

“Violence doesn’t solve anything!”

“Do NOT get me started, violence starts and finishes everything. And to think I was actually starting to like your company. I knew you were just a pretty boy tennis player who just loves the attention of his fangirls,” said , snapping. Eiji looked mildly hurt. He stormed off but followed a few steps behind since they lived together. At dinner everyone noticed the anger in the room, Kikumaru-mama called over. The older brother assessed the situation.

, Kikumaru,” said , “what’s going on?” explained, and then Eiji explained. “, your temper got the better of you again.”

“She deserved it,” snorted .

“I should not agree but I am,” said . “Kikumaru don’t worry about the girl that hit, everything will blow over. Now apologize to each other.”

“Sorry -chan,” said Eiji.

“Sorry Kikumaru-kun,” said . nodded and departed. That night actually began feeling guilty and went to Eiji’s room. He was sleeping; she sat on his bed like she does every morning and watched him sleep.

“He’s looks so cute when he is sleeping,” said , sighing. She learned that you can tell a lot from how a person slept that’s what her psychologist used to tell her. Yes, she really did go to a psychologist when she was younger because she had an excess of a nightmares.

-chan” asked Eiji, groggily. He sat up and moved over for her to lie down. She did and she felt comfortable (and safe, but she did not know why). Both went to sleep and wound up late for school.
