We finally got out access back! May was such a busy month for so many of us. But I’m glad we still managed to come up with quite a few dream novels, thanks to our hard-working writers. Of course, this update wouldn’t have been possible without CrazyGirlOfManyNames and Wanna.Be. Thanks so much as always.

We are launching a new group project, a brainchild of CrazyGirlOfManyNames, that takes readers to a Western-style alternate universe that’s got our men trudging the streets of the fictional town of Sun Hope. Just t0 update everyone on what we’re up to, we’re starting on a group project we’ll hope you’ll enjoy this May. That’s it and have fun!

If you frequent our circle, which is *really* small by the way, (how many active PoT Dream Novel sites do you think there are?), you’d already know this. But if not, do read along.

My dear friend DeVeLiCious recently planned a revamp and merger of our affiliate site, Endless Dreamers, and our sibling site, Everlasting Dreams. The result? A shiny and new Endless Dreamers! It will now host not only PoT DNs but DNs from other anime/manga series and games as well.

I’m part of the new Endless Dreamers as a moderator, but to clear things up, all my PoT Dream Novels will only be housed here in DOPAMINE unless stated otherwise. The new site is submission-based with no fixed writers, so if you’re interested in writing DNs for other titles, it could be the perfect venue.

Aaaannnd now we bring you the February to March ‘09 DOPAMINE Updates. The following dream novels include those submitted by our wonderful new writers. Yes, I admit, the results are really delayed. I’m reposting my answer to a comment on the previous post here:

“The reason why we have been delayed is that there are participants who have suspiciously similar entries — stories with intersecting plotlines and almost identical writing styles among many other things. This is a MAJOR issue for us, since we had something similar happen before. Needless to say, it got real ugly and I was the one who had to take the brunt.

The new members of Team DOPAMINE are already informed that they passed. We had to hold off publicly announcing the winners because I wanted to dissect the stories in question first and research on the participants who submitted them. Had we been able to prove that these two participants are but one person (or, if they really are two separate entities, had we been able to prove that one plagiarized from the other through one way or another), we would have banned her from all future recruitment rounds. There is no place in Team DOPAMINE for someone who contrived to deceive us from the very start.

Unfortunately, details have been really scarce, and while I’d like more time to dig deeper into it, it’s high time the winners get announced publicly and just lay the issue to rest.”

While the issue remains unresolved, we have our suspicions. Don’t bother asking us for details though — our lips are sealed. (I’m serious; please refrain from asking us for more info.)

They will have their debut during the Feb updates to be posted by March (aside from BabyBird who’s been writing for us as a guest for quite a while now). PS: I’ve had a couple of inquiries about stories that didn’t pass. Please be informed that DOPAMINE does not claim rights to your work. It is yours and yours alone and you’re free to post it anywhere you wish.

And yes, we’re now officially, officially back. It took me a few days to get my FTP access back since the last time I posted, but I can say with confidence that everything is well now. All my problems caused me a gigantanormous headache though, so if you find anything weird/odd/whatever with the updates below, please tell me. orz

After replacing my old computer’s RAM, I’m finally able to access our host’s and DOPAMINE’s backend. I would have asked Wanna.Be to do the updating except she doesn’t have access to our FTP and I can arrange for her to have access to it since I can’t get into my host’s control panel due to a slooooooowwww computer. See where I’m going here? Anyhow, everything’s fine now. I’m back completely and we’re back to regular programming. Expect updates meant for December to be uploaded tomorrow at the latest! Also, DOPAMINE Writer Hunt entrants, expect results by next week. Thanks very much for your patience and it feels so good to be back!
